YP Midwest Publishing LLC, Bargaining Report #7

While your bargaining committee sits in wait for receipt of relevant data requests from YP that are necessary for us to prepare proposals or counter proposals, CWA members are mobilizing across the District.

We need our voices heard!

YP Midwest Publishing LLC, Bargaining Report #6

Today's bargaining session was filled with much frustration for the committee as YP Holdings seems to only have one direction they want to go in - - their way.  They don't have a care for what our members need, they only care about how we should be willing to take numerous concessions because it will help with YP's profitability.

We still have major issues that are outstanding - health care, sales and compensation, and force adjustment.

It will be hard pressed for us to get a tentative agreement by 5 p.m. on Friday.

Word coming to the committee is that mobilization activities are being planned for Friday around the District....this is what it will take to maybe get YP to hear us!

YP Midwest Publishing LLC, Bargaining Report #4

As your bargaining committee prepares to return to the table this week beginning on Wednesday, Locals have finished conducting their strike votes from the membership.

CWA members voted an overwhelming 90 percent "YES" to authorize a strike if a fair contract can't be reached with YP Holdings.

The contract expiration has been extended until Friday, August 19 @ 5 p.m.

The bargaining committee will send out updates as negotiations take place.

YP Midwest Publishing LLC, Bargaining Report #3

Our CWA Bargaining Committee last met with YP Holdings on June 27 and 28.

During this session, we spent a majority of the time reviewing and questioning the Company's proposed structure changes in sales.  The rest of the time we argued about their other retrogressive demands.  The Committee let the Company representatives know that their proposals are currently unacceptable and that there needs to be considerable movement if we are to reach any agreement by contract expiration.  It appears however that we may be bargaining with ourselves as it seems that our words are falling on deaf ears.

Both sides have recessed until August.
